Arsenal striker Alessia Russo shared the Player of the Year award with Chelsea’s Lauren James at the 2025 Women’s Football Awards in London. Russo has had an outstanding season, scoring 12 goals in 19 WSL games and playing a crucial role in guiding Arsenal to their first Women’s Champions League final since 2007.
The event, hosted by Gabby Logan, Jamie Carragher, and Eni Aluko, celebrated the biggest names and contributors to the growth of women’s football. Chelsea dominated the awards, winning Club of the Year, with Aggie Beever-Jones taking home Young Player of the Year, and Sonia Bompastor being honored as Manager of the Year.
